A new book to be released this week will interest history readers who are also keen on archeology, or specialists in the reign of Edward III. ‘Nottingham: the buried past of a historic city revealled’ by Scott C. Lomax is another Pen and Sword book. This title describes the finds in Nottingham including the tunnels dug under the castle and the city, through which the young Edward III’s nocturnal movemets helped him secure his crown. The publicity also says, "This book also offers some possible answers to the never before published mysteries which archaeological work has uncovered such as the large burial site in the city centre and a mysterious village or suburb which briefly existed just outside of the city centre in the 14th century.” ISBN 9781781593899 paperback.
