This is the first scholarly book looking at this significant woman of the late-Plantagenet period and has been widely praised as a history of high quality. The author, J. L. Laynesmith, is a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Reading and won a Longman-History Today book prize for her 2004 book which examined English queenship during the second-half of the fifteenth-century.
