The following is an acknowledgement of the authors of the English Monarchs series titles, their books and the year of publication and, where known, their professional website - plus some others.

Also listed are the authors for the ‘Companion’ books and authors who commenced work on biographies but did not complete their work to publishing stage.

Honourifics have been omitted. Seeing so many Doctors and Professors in the lengthy list of this faculty of academics is quite overwhelming.

COMMISSIONED BUT UNPUBLISHED WORKS

In the 1960s and 1970s Eyre & Spottiswoode and Methuen commissioned the following authors for biographies in the series but the books were never finished, or the commission was passed to the ultimate author. One Yale title also did not reach a conclusion. These researchers are recognised as contributors to the English Monarchs series.
